The Network For Youth And Children’s Development Sierra Leone (NYCD-Sierra Leone) is a youth, and children development organization founded in October 2017 by a talented, passionate and intellectual Sierra Leoneans comprising of men and women with determined focus and vision to join the global demand for the actualization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) also dedicated to reach remote areas across the country with community service and nation building to help Sierra Leone attained these goals. NYCD-Sierra Leone is a registered non-profit voluntary organization in the verge to establish in all major Region and District in Sierra Leone to reach out to the less-privilege children, women and youths through mentorship programs, creation of income generating activities; HIV/AIDs control management and prevention programs, sexual and reproductive health awareness programs, community drama on early marriage and early teenage pregnancy, vocational training and agricultural related activities. NYCD-Sierra Leone main focus is to work for peace, transformation and development through finding sustainable solutions to eradicate poverty, hunger, disease, illiteracy, dependence, child violations, women and youth marginalization, promote good health, sustainable agriculture and peaceful co-existence. It also work out modalities to support academic issues, rights, career choice, skills and talent development to promote and push young people development to the highest level to be useful and functional in society with dignity and respect. The purpose of NYCD-Sierra Leone is to establish a well-functioning inspired and empowered group advocating for less-privilege children get quality education and a better living standard, women gets socio-economic empowerment and youth get opportunity to lead and play a positive role in their community development. And also to supports the well-being of its members and encourages their active participation in their community services
