The Sierra Leone Chamber of Agriculture now the Sierra Leone Chamber for Agribusiness Development (SLeCAD) was established by the Government of Sierra Leone (MAFFS: Lead, MTI, MoFED, SPU) with support of Development Partners (FAO, USAID/PAGE, GiZ, IFAD, FARA) as a public-private entity to be the principal private sector partner of the Government to promote and increase private investment in the Agriculture Sector. SLeCAD also has the mandate and charged with the responsibility to facilitate, coordinate and organize the activities of all Farmers, and Farmer Based Organizations (FBOs), Agribusiness Processors/Industries, Agribusiness Marketers & Exporters, Commercial Banks supporting agriculture, input suppliers & dealers and other agribusiness private sector players along the value chain to ensure the achievement of agro-industrialization, food security and wealth creation goals in Sierra Leone. SLeCAD has the ability and capacity to carry out Consultancy, Project Development, Business Development Training, and Venture Investments.
